Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be in writing. Emails are acceptable to admin@smartstudenttravel.com.
  • All adult group participants,  parents from K-12 school/student groups, and group leaders from K-12 school/student groups are required to attend a 30 minute Zoom Meeting to review the cancellation policy.
  • All School/Student Groups include a Travel Protection Plan.
  • Adult Groups do not include a Travel Protection plan. Adults are strongly encouraged to purchase their own individual Travel Protection Plan.
  • All Deposits are Nonrefundable.
  • If you cancel 60 days or more before the trip departure date, Smart Student Travel will return funds paid less the Nonrefundable deposit. 
    • Example 1
      • You paid $700 total for your trip. This included a Nonrefundable $100 deposit. 
      • Your trip departs July 1st 
      • You cancel on April 25th by email or our cancellation form
      • That is 67 days before your departure date of July 1st
      • Refund ($700- $100)= $600
  • If you cancel 0- 59 days before the trip departure date, you will need to submit a claim according to your Trip Protection Plan.
    • You paid $700 total for your trip. This included a NonRefundable $100 deposit.
    • Your trip departs July 1st
    • You cancel on May 30th by email
    • That is 32 days before your departure date of July 1st 
    • There is No Refund from Smart Student Travel. You will need to submit a claim according to your Travel Protection Plan.
